Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine is a 4-year DO-granting program that welcomed its first class in 1898. The College of Osteopathic Medicine has multiple unique aspects. Every student receives NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) training. Des Moines University provides a small college environment that values community, so students can know everyone on campus. There also is a program where second-year students tutor first-year students at no cost. There are numerous clubs, electives, and opportunities to pursue your individual interests at DMU-COM.
