Overview

Drexel University College of Medicine is a 4-year MD-granting program that traces its roots back to 1848. Drexel is one of the largest medical schools in the country, with an entering class of close to 256 students per year. Within their new curriculum, students gain early clinical exposure, experience team learning, and learn about cultural competence. Students participate in the Longitudinal Community Care Practicum, where they learn by getting involved in the community in settings such as the Health Outreach Clinics. Upon arrival, students are assigned into one of six learning communities. These communities exist to foster and create a community for students at Drexel. There are over 65 clubs for students to be involved in, along with mentoring and wellness programs.
