Netter Flash Cards

I saw some Netter’s Anatomy Flashcards in the bookstore, but they were shrinkwrapped and I couldn’t really check them out. Has anyone used them, and do you recommend them?

Hey Laura,
I wouldn't get anything until you get to school. You can spend hundreds of dollars on books and gadgets but end up not using them. I had a set of muscle flashcards that I never used. I ended up using the Rohen Atlas, Netter Atlas and my dissector for Gross Anatomy. :p
I found it useful to photocopy pages from the Netter Atlas and color them in with magic marker. While I was coloring the arteries I was memorizing them.

I recommend QuickStudy flash cards. Each set features a series of cards with a detailed questions, problems or examples on one side and answers on the other side that helped me in improving my knowledge.

I didn’t get them, but one other thing to consider is that those cards are often offered as a bonus with AMA membership, so that’s another way to get them.

That said, I’m a big proponent of using Anki (http://www.ankisrs.net) as a flashcard tool for learning. Personally, I feel like making the flashcards yourself is a big part of learning them.
