Hello!
I will be applying to medical schools soon and I was wondering if it is worth applying to Canadian medical schools. I am a US citizen, but I have family in Toronto. I know that it is very hard to get into Canadian schools, and only University of Toronto, McGill, and McMasters even accept international students. My main question is about coming back to the US for residency if I got in. Would I be considered a foreign medical graduate? Would it be difficult to place into a US residency? My current doctor is Canadian. He is the one who told me to consider schools there and said it wasn’t hard for him to come here. Things may be different now, though. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
