Volunteer experience, clinical experience, shadowing experience?

Hello!

I am new to the forum, but I have been listening to the podcast for a while.

I have a question that I have been asking around, but no one seems to know the answer. I am a volunteer clinical director at a free clinic that emphasizes on providing medical care to people that do not have health insurance and suffer from a chronic disease. Before I was a clinic director, I was a volunteer interpreter that would follow the physicians that did not speak Spanish and interpret for them. I also have been able to attend chart reviews where I was able to help physicians summarize the chart for the patient’s next visit. There I was able to learn about diagnosis, treatments, and about the development of the chronic disease. I have also learned to do vitals, ask the patient questions regarding their health and other job descriptions that an MA typically does. Also, I have been learning to do phlebotomy and lab work, and a sprinkle of pharmacy as well.

So what type of cake am I?

PS. As a clinical director now I do it all more consistendly…
