Can volunteering at a hospice count for clinical experience and volunteering?

Hi kparandeh,

Hospice would be clinical volunteering, not clinical experience. Clinical experience is generally a paid position where you’re “close enough to smell the patient”, like being a scribe, medical assistant, EMT, or medical/surgical tech.

What about firefighting? I currently respond to a variety of medical calls every day: VSA, trouble breathing, trauma, allergies, etc. Does that count?

What about non-urgent ambulance driving? I’ve always wondered about that one. You can definitely “smell them” in this scenario haha.
