Overview
The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Carolinas Campus is a 4-year DO-granting program that matriculated its first class in 2011. VCOM-Carolinas Campus offers free tutoring to first- and second-year medical students. Many students take part in one of the 20 organizations on campus and enjoy spending time in the Spartanburg community. VCOM-Carolina Campus allows students to participate in both international medical outreach and Appalachian medical outreach. Students complete clinical rotations both in the community and in rural settings.
Mission
The MISSION of the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) is to prepare globally-minded, community-focused physicians to meet the needs of rural and medically underserved populations and promote research to improve human health.
