University of Cincinnati College of Medicine Reviews

Overview
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is a 4-year MD-granting program that traces its roots back to the Medical College of Ohio, which welcomed its first class in 1819. The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is the second-oldest public medical school in the US. University of Cincinnati works to create a culture with “heart” as the guiding principle. Students say they feel exposed to a variety of patients, prepared to do well on their board exams, and supported by their classmates. During the first year, students are paired with a primary-care physician to begin working on clinical skills. Students at UCCOM for the past three years have surpassed both the national pass rate and national mean for USMLE Step 1 scores. Students follow a prep series for their boards, followed by a student-led board review course, and then individual prep time.
