Overview

The University of Illinois College of Medicine is a 4-year MD-granting program that has three different campuses for students: Chicago, Peoria, and Rockford. Each student will have the opportunity to rank their campus choice. Each campus offers a specific curriculum and different environments for students to learn in. In addition to the traditional MD program, they offer specialized programs in rural medical education, global medical education, urban medicine, innovation in medicine, clinician executive medicine, and innovation in rural global medicine.

Mission

The mission of the University of Illinois College of Medicine is to enhance the health of the citizens of Illinois and the nation by educating physicians and biomedical scientists, advancing knowledge in health and disease, and providing healthcare in a setting of education and research. Through a college-wide planning effort, we have developed our College of Medicine Overarching Goals within each of the three mission areas.
