Boston University School of Medicine is a 4-year MD-granting program that traces its roots back to the Boston Female Medical College, which welcomed its first class in 1848. The Boston Female Medical College merged officially in 1874 with Boston University. The School of Medicine values a warm, welcoming environment at their university.
