About University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine

Overview

The University of Missouri School of Medicine is a 4-year MD-granting program. All students complete their first two years in Columbia and then do their clinical years either at the Columbia Campus or at the Springfield Campus. Mizzou has an emphasis on patient-centered care, and they uphold this value with a program called Legacy Teachers. This program invites patients who have had an impact on the students to an annual luncheon, where students may share artwork or writings. In addition, the school offers a community health clinic, rural track program, simulation center, and summer fellowships for students.

To improve the health of all people, especially Missourians, through exemplary education, research and patient-centered care.
