Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University is a 4-year MD-granting program that opened in 1824. Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University recently switched to a new curriculum, JeffMD, which provides students with early clinical exposure and has themes running through the curriculum. With the new curriculum, each student is required to do a Scholarly Inquiry project, and they have eight different concentrations to choose from. Students are separated into Learning Societies to help develop and nurture personal and professional goals. Sidney Kimmel Medical College has a Physician Shortage Program to help provide physicians for underserved areas. There are multiple different student organizations and research opportunities for students to be involved in on campus.
