The University of Kansas School of Medicine is a 4-year MD-granting program and the only medical school in the state of Kansas. The School of Medicine provides three different campuses, each with a specific focus. In Kansas City, students train at an academic medical center. In Wichita, the medical education is community-based. In Salina, it has a focus on rural medicine. The University of Kansas has an emphasis on improving the lives of Kansas residents.
