Dr. Jennifer Welch brings over 30 years of experience in academic medicine to Medical School Headquarters. She has held numerous leadership roles throughout her career, including 13 years as Director of Admissions and 11 years as Associate Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid. Dr. Welch has reviewed thousands of applications, interviewed hundreds of aspiring physicians, served as a voting member of the admissions committee, and chaired the committee for more than 10 years.
In addition to her leadership in MD admissions, Dr. Welch has advised thousands of students on the medical school application process and has served on admissions committees for MD/PhD, MD/MBA, MD/MPH, and BS/MD programs. Her advising experience also extends across various health professions, including physician assistant, nursing, physical therapy, and residency advising.
Dr. Welch is passionate about mentoring applicants, building meaningful relationships, celebrating their successes, and supporting them through challenges. She is excited to join the Medical School Headquarters team on a part-time basis and looks forward to helping the next generation of healthcare professionals achieve their dreams.
