Dr. Dimple Patel brings 25 years of experience in higher education administration, having led a variety of functional areas focused on student and academic services. Throughout her career, she has served at six diverse institutions—both public and private—supporting the success of undergraduate and professional students. Since 2010 she has been an admissions leader in medical education and most recently as the Associate Dean for Admissions at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Her professional interests center on expanding access to higher education, promoting women’s leadership in academia and integrating academic and student services to create a holistic centered approach to supporting learners across the lifecycle of their higher education experience.
Dimple spends a lot of time running after her six year old, walking and hiking anywhere she can, and drawing/painting (really it’s doodling) nearly everyday.
