VIRTUAL EVENT : ZOOM LINK WILL BE PROVIDED UPON REGISTRATION

Our environment plays a significant role in our health. In the last few years, increasingly deadly natural disasters and extreme weather have caused destruction, displacement, and diminishment of food, water, and air quality. Emerging diseases such as COVID-19 paralyzed the world and required us to rethink how we live. These events have highlighted the necessity to recognize the deep and inextricable interdependence that exists between human health and climate health. For this reason, medical careers in the field of climate change are expected to play a significant role in the future of medicine. Columbia University welcomes our distinguished panelists who will help our students gain a better understanding of the current state of affairs and learn what pathways are available to become advocates for both human and planetary health throughout their careers in medicine.
