The California Health Sciences University College of Osteopathic Medicine is a 4-year DO granting program that welcomes its first class in 2020. The College of Osteopathic Medicine has an emphasis on training and retaining physicians to serve the local community. The first two years of the curriculum is systems-based that utilizes team-based learning and is pass based. Third and fourth year consists of rotations within clinics and hospital systems that have partnered with the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Mission
Aligned with the University mission, CHSU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) is the first program of it’s kind in the Central Valley and hopes to recruit, train and retain physicians to serve the local community, especially the underserved population.
