Overview
Northeast Ohio Medical University College of Medicine is a 4-year MD-granting program that welcomed its first class in 1977. NEOMED has a commitment to cross-functional teams, cultural competence, and population health. The school has multiple hospital partnerships to provide their students with clerkship opportunities. These include Akron Children’s Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Akron, Summa Health System, and many others. NEOMED also has multiple partnerships with other universities, including Baldwin Wallace, Bowling Green, Cleveland State, Hiram College, Kent State, University of Akron, and Youngstown State University. Health and wellness is a priority at NEOMED, and they offer a range of programs and facilities to assist students. Students have more than 70 student organizations to get involved with.
Mission
The College of Medicine at NEOMED, through education, research and public service inspires medical students to become exemplary patient care centered physicians. We seek to improve the health and quality of life of the communities of Ohio and beyond, including those both diverse and underserved.
