Overview
Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine is a 4-year MD-granting program that welcomed its first class in 1967. The Penn State College of Medicine has multiple different pathways for students to receive their education. This includes the Hershey curriculum, the University Park curriculum, and multiple different Accelerated curriculums for students. The Accelerated curriculum is offered for family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, emergency medicine, neurosurgery, clinical scientist, and clinic educator tracks. Penn State is committed to global healthcare, and students can travel and provide care around the world with the Global Health Scholars Program. College of Medicine students also run LionCare, a health clinic for the community of Hershey.
