Overview​
The University of Louisville School of Medicine is a 4-year MD-granting program that welcomed its first class in 1837. The School of Medicine is located near the downtown medical center. Upon matriculation, students are separated into one of six Advisory Colleges. Throughout the year, the Advisory Colleges hold events, such as the College Cup, Dinner with the Deans, and an Outreach Day. The School of Medicine offers a simulation center and standardized patient program to aid in student learning.

Our mission is to improve the health of our patients and our communities through excellence and leadership in education, clinical care, research, and community engagement.
