Shriya loves helping students develop an individualized strategy for tackling the MCAT while building connections between the many disciplines tested on the exam. Whether it’s biology, psychology, or physics, she enjoys showing students the common threads that tie subjects together and make the material feel more intuitive. Her favorite part of teaching is helping students move beyond simply reading a question to truly understanding what it’s asking—often leading to those powerful “Aha” moments where strategy and confidence click into place.
Her biggest MCAT advice? Strategy is everything. Success on the exam comes from understanding how to break down passages, interpret what questions are really asking, and ground your reasoning process in logic rather than panic. She also encourages students to actively connect concepts across subject areas during content review, since the MCAT rewards integrated thinking. If she were preparing for the exam again, she’d spend just as much time analyzing the practice questions she got right as the ones she missed, using each one as an opportunity to sharpen her reasoning.
Outside of tutoring, Shriya brings plenty of personality to the table—she sings and plays guitar in a metal band, enjoys birdwatching, and loves embroidering custom clothing for her friends.
