Andreina is passionate about teaching because she knows every student brings a unique background, learning style, and set of strengths to the table. Her favorite part of tutoring is partnering with students to problem-solve the best way for them to understand complex concepts and maximize their test-taking performance. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, Andreina focuses on helping each student build a personalized strategy that works for how they learn best.

Her top advice for students preparing for the MCAT is to create a detailed study plan that breaks preparation into manageable daily steps, including content review, practice questions, full-length exams, and review time. While flexibility is important, having a clear roadmap helps reduce overwhelm and keeps progress moving forward. If she could do her own prep again, she’d ask for help sooner in challenging areas—especially CARS—and make rest a priority by taking at least one full day off each week to avoid burnout.

Andreina helps students reach those “Aha” moments by encouraging productive struggle and critical thinking rather than immediately giving answers. Through thoughtful back-and-forth discussion and guiding questions, she helps students uncover where their reasoning gets stuck so they can build deeper understanding and confidence that lasts beyond a single question. Outside of tutoring, Andreina loves spending time outdoors backpacking, trail running, and horseback riding.
