The University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine is a 4-year MD-granting program and the oldest medical school in the state of Florida. The Miller School of Medicine is one of the few schools that offer a 4-year MD/MPH program and reserve 48 of their 198 spots for those students. Students begin clinical exposure within their first few weeks of medical school and have access to over 90 clinic sites during their first two years. Third- and fourth-year students have access to six hospitals with nearly 3,000 teaching beds. The UM-Jackson Memorial Hospital Medical Center is the second busiest medical center in the country. Miami provides a place where students can explore culture and big-city life.
