The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is a 4-year MD-granting program and the only public medical school in the state of Georgia. The Medical College of Georgia offers a campus in Augusta and another in Athens as a partnership with the University of Georgia. There are also multiple regional sites all throughout Georgia for third- and fourth-year students. The Medical College of Georgia focuses on illnesses that impact the people of Georgia. Twenty percent of physicians in Georgia graduated from or completed their residency at MCG.
