Uniformed Science University of the Health Sciences F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine is a 4-year MD-granting program. It is the only federal medical school in the U.S., offering a free medical education in turn for years of dedicated service. USUHS has a curriculum addressing the challenges of military medicine. Under the “Molecules to Military Medicine” curriculum, students work to bring together basic and clinical sciences, with earlier clinical rotations than at other schools. USUHS also requires a Capstone project to promote self-discovery.
